Ever have a hard time knowing which websites are actually credible? There is an overwhelming amount of information about health that can make it hard to find reliable information. We’re here to help you learn how to find the right information. Generally nonprofit websites are a good choice. Or websites ending in .org, .edu., or .gov.

A .com website can be credible too. Is the sponsor/owner of the website a federal agency, medical school, or large professional organization? Look at the author of the website. Are they a health professional? You can also check the references to see if they get their information from credible sources.

Learning how to decipher between reliable and unreliable health information is important so you can take care of your health the right way.
